July 3rd: In the prayer of Monday morning : Pope Francis’ homily for the Presentation of the Lord, 2 February 2017, was read aloud by Sr Marguerite-Marie Luc and Sr Marie McDonald. This homily seems perfectly suited to us! The Capitulants listened to the Report of the General Council.
The Eucharist for the Feast of St Thomas Apostle was the opportunity to give thanks for the last six years in the Congregation, for the 41st anniversary of Fr Donald MacLeod’s ordination to the priesthood.
1st July : Sr. Carmen Sammut giving her opening speech Opening of the Chapter; oil lamps for the canonical leaders and candles for all others are prepared for the opening ritual
The procession moves into the hall and one after the other, the Sisters place their candles on the table to form the logo of the Chapter.
The youngest and the oldest together beat the drum to officially open the Chapter.
