J’ai aimé les Kabyles

Sr Léontine Beaulieu
dans sa 96ème année

Sr Léontine Beaulieu a vécu longtemps en Kabylie et se trouve maintenant à la maison St Charles à Verrières-le-Buisson. Le 13 janvier 2019, elle s’est prêtée volontiers à l’interview de Sr Ferroudja.

  • Que faisais-tu en Kabylie ?

J’ai fait la cuisine et j’avais des jeunes filles qui apprenaient la cuisine. Il y avait la couture et le tricot en même temps. J’aimais les jeunes filles. Bien sûr, il fallait apprendre la langue.

  • Tu as appris le kabyle ?

Ah oui, bien sûr !

  • Tu le parles encore ?

Je ne sais pas avec qui parler.

  • Dis-moi quelque chose en kabyle.

Tu vois,  ça ne me revient plus, pourtant je parlais kabyle. Les gens étaient contents quand on leur parlait kabyle, même si notre kabyle n’était pas toujours très bien, mais enfin on pouvait se comprendre.  On parlait la même langue, on se comprenait.

  • Et tu étais heureuse ?

Oh oui ! J’ai aimé les Kabyles.

  • Qu’est-ce que tu dis aujourd’hui aux jeunes SMNDA ?

On y gagne à fréquenter les gens du pays. Il faut les connaître et apprécier leurs valeurs.  Enfin, moi j’ai été contente. J’ai aimé. Il faut y vivre pour s’apprécier.
