At the end of the juniorate which was held in Rome from September 2022 to February 2023, we, the juniors Aurélie, Béatrice and Redempta, want to express our gratitude and appreciation for this time of grace that the congregation has given us.
We are grateful to God the Father for all the graces received. We borrow the words of the psalmist “How shall I render to the Lord all the good he has done me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord” (Ps 116:12-13).
The facilitators of the sessions spared no effort to accompany us. The sessions have enriched us, allowing us to discover ourselves more and to root ourselves in the charism of the congregation. This has contributed to our spiritual and human development and will benefit us throughout our lives.
The sharing of our personal experiences and our experience of the mission in this formation group has been beneficial. Rereading the joys shared and the difficulties encountered in the mission strengthened us. We are more than ever convinced that “the mission is One wherever we are.” (Constitution N°13).
We had the joy of listening to the vocation stories and mission experiences of our sisters in the generalate community and the general council.
They responded generously to God’s call and through their sharing, we could see the faithfulness of God that accompanied them in times of joy and difficulty. Thanks for the generous sharing! We feel encouraged to go forward in the mission with the One who has called us to follow him.
We give glory to God for the 30-day retreat which was special for each of us. This exceptional time with the Lord allowed us to deepen our intimacy with Christ. He has renewed us once again in his unconditional love and with renewed confidence we desire to share what we have discovered with our brothers and sisters.
May Our Lady of Africa accompany us.
