Prayer for compassion
God our Creator, we pray to you: To us who are far from those we love, that we are reminded to find ways to be your love and tenderness for our neighbor. May the restrictions we know remind us of the daily challenges to human dignity, life and fundamental security that so many women, men and children in our world go through. We who are healthy, Let us remember those who do not have access to basic health care. We who restrict our movements, let us remember those who have no refuge to go to. We who have a social safety net, let us remember our sisters and brothers whose situation is getting worse. That the concern we feel for the lives of our elders encourage us to love and cherish every person that we meet every day. In the face of fear, let us choose love, peace and hope.…
