From our novices in Burkina
There is a time for everything… a time to begin, a time to end
In mid-June, our brother novices of the Missionaries of Africa invited us to practice with them the hymns for their closing Mass for the spiritual year 2019-2020.
Final commitment of Sr Marcelline Nemeyitora
“There is no greater love than to give your life for those you love”
These words of the gospel in Jn 15:13 inspired our sister Marcelline Nemeyitora to make her perpetual vows. She pronounced her total and radical YES to Jesus in order to give her life like Him, for the mission to announce the Good News of his love for everyone, in our congregation, the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa.

Juniorate 2018 – preparation for final commitment
“Remain in me… and you will bear much fruit.” (Jn 15:5)
It is with hearts full of gratitude that we come to share what we have experienced since the beginning of our Juniorate. As you know, we arrived from our various mission countries of Burundi, Malawi, Uganda and Chad. We thank the General Council for offering us this grace-filled opportunity and the two sisters who accompanied us during this time.
The future of our Congregation depends on what we do today
All the sisters of temporary vows from the different mission countries met in Nairobi from June 29 to July 14, 2018. The meeting was animated by the General Council. It allowed us to share, to listen to one another and to let ourselves be enthused by the experiences of each one.

It was for me and for everyone a day of thanksgiving and joy. In fact, the celebration of my definitive commitment has succeeded so well thanks to the commitment of my sisters, of the family who have prepared everything with love and joy. To make ourselves known in the diocese of Diébougou By expressing to the community of Ouagadougou Cathedral my desire to make of my commitment a vocation animation in the diocese, they proposed concrete and achievable things. They found themselves in face of a stranger, but this did not prevent their commitment. On Friday, April 20th our sisters Garduno Mejia Leticia and Sizalande…
Joy shared: my first religious profession
“This is the day that the Lord has made, let it be for us a day of feast and joy.” Ps 117, 24 The dream come true The 30/04/2018, was an unforgettable day in my life in which the Lord filled me with his joy and inner peace. I was very happy to move towards the altar with the processional hymn that spoke to me so much: “Naja kwako Bwana, unipo keem tumishi wako” which translates: “I come to you Lord, receive me, your servant”. I said to myself, the dream nourished for years is realized today, the offering of all my being to God in the service of my brothers and sisters. I was delighted to pronounce my vows for the first time in complete freedom and confidence; by pronouncing them a strength and inner assurance inhabited me. Welcome into a new family What has also given…
