Final commitment of Sr. Gosia Popławska
On December 30, 2017 our sister Gosia Popławska pronounced her perpetual vows in our Congregation. The celebration took place in Gorzów Wielkopolski, her hometown in north-western Poland. United in the same family and the same mission: Together with our sisters, our brothers the Missionaries of Africa and the family and friends of Gosia, we witnessed this great event, not only for the parish but also for the diocese. To our surprise, the priest presented our congregation very well, citing the thoughts and writings of Mother Marie Salome (our first superior general) and Cardinal Lavigerie (our founder) as if he were part of our Lavigerie family! In his homily, Fr. Marcin Zaguła, Missionary of Africa, reminded us of the importance of our responsibility to the Mission and to the whole Church. Bishop Tadeusz Lityński invited Gosia to be the light of the Gospel wherever she would be sent. To share…
The Juniorate 2017 is started
Preparation for the final vows with sisters Vickness Muleya, Marie-Ange Ndayishimiye, Franceline Hien, Linah Siabana,Thérèse Namakoma Nyarukanyi and animators sisters Ingrid Hager and Hélène Mbuyamba The Well is a symbol for Community. It is often located at the center of the Community where everyone has access. From the Well, the community draws water, which sustains its life. In the olden days, the Well represented all the social resources of the community that were necessary to endure and thrive. This well for us represents the word of God, which invites us to listen to Jesus speaking, through events, formators, facilitators and many other people we encounter. It represents all that we are going to live during this period of this juniorate; all that allows us to rediscover and nurture the source of life within us. This well challenges us to live the values of openness (receiving and giving) to life…
First vows of Victorine Bulangalire
You who want to follow Christ, Come as you are, whatever your motivation, your story. He is there, He walks by our side and goes with us. Whatever difficulties you encounter, open your mind to Him and let Him lead you, even if it is sometimes difficult to understand. Do not be discouraged, however hard and long the way may be. He alone, in his own time. I come from a Christian family. I lost my parents very early. There was a neighbor who questioned her children saying, “Why do you behave like children who have no parents? ” This word disgusted me, and placing myself among her children, I understood that it was we who were behaving badly. In my parish there were sisters of the Daughters of the Resurrection. I saw them as those who behave well. I felt inspired by religious life and wanted to be…

First vows of Alicja, Aurélie and Magdalena on 30th April 2016
SHARING OUR JOY: APRIL 30, 2016
Vows of obedience, chastity and poverty
Obedience is like the “backbone” of our lives in following Christ. To obey God through human mediation can be a beautiful witness awakening the hearts of those around us. What also seems very important to us is openness to spiritual accompaniment in confidence and sincerity. In our experience of chastity, it is essential to first cultivate our personal relationship with Christ. Our life together in an international and intercultural community is a prophetic sign when we accept each other despite our differences; when we know how to accept a challenge with humility and challenge our sisters with respect. A simple smile can give life to one of my sisters or wake another one who may be isolated or locked in on herself. Creatively expressing our femininity and loyalty to community prayer is also essential to share our faith and be in communion with…

The 2016 Tertianship has begun with Gratienne from Burundi, Theopista from Uganda, Laetitia from Mexico and Julie from DRCongo. They are accompanied by Begoña from Spain and Revocata from Uganda. What is the Tertianship? The congregation invites sisters who have lived ten years of religious life after their final commitment to meet for a time of renewal and re-reading. It takes place in Rome in our generalate. Here is the biblical text chosen for the inauguration of their program: “The crowd pressed around Jesus to hear the word of God. As he stood by the lake of Galilee He saw two boats on the shore. The fishermen were washing their nets. Getting into one of the boats which was Simon’s, he asked him to depart a little from shore. Then he sat down and from the boat, he taught the multitudes. When he had finished speaking, He…
Final commitment of Sr Clémence Sawadogo 29th august 2015
My soul magnifies the Lord! … With the Magnificat, I thank God for his trust and love for me and for all the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa. “I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be done unto me according to your word.” This is the theme I chose for the Eucharistic celebration. By my baptism, I entered the great family of God and became a prophet and disciple to follow Christ. What is essential for me is trust, acceptance to walk in the light as in the darkness with faith in the Risen Christ. I thank the Lord for the gift of religious missionary life. On the eve of this important ceremony, I was so happy to welcome our sisters from Ouagadougou: Hortensia, Agnes, Nathalie and Caritas as well as the father of our sister Nathalie; also Brigitte from Mali and Thérèse from…
