In the photo Sr Ghislaine with Sr Gisela from Rome ‘Tell me about Africa’.  From October 13th to 16th, we had the privilege of sharing in the beauty, grace, and harmony of Siter Ghislaine’s works of art. The exhibition was held at the ‘Carrefour Foi et Spiritualité’, in the basement of the St-Joseph-Bordeaux Church, thanks to the collaboration of several friends, devotees of Art and Africa. 24 paintings made on acrylics and mosaics, represented scenes from Burundi and Algeria, as well as Aboriginal Art from Canada. Sr Ghislaine went around the room with visitors to answer questions. The theme of ‘the Circle of life’ dominated, with representations of women, children, dancers and drummers, painted in colours where black, brown, red and grey clay predominate. One could also stop at leisure on a painting to allow a call for greater well-being to rise from within… This exhibition was really a praise…

From 29th to 31th July 2022 in Lublin (Poland) Weekend for women aged 18 to 35 years, wishing to discern their vocation, to get to know our congregation better.For those willing there is a possibility to come earlier or extend the stay. In the programme: meetings with other young people who are discerning their vocation meetings with the Missionary Sisters of the Our Lady of Africa from the Lublin community presentation of the charism of the Congregation and learning about the missionary work of the Sisters time for personal and community prayer with the Word of God And all this in an international and intercultural atmosphere. From July 14 to 28, 2019, young Tunisians from the city of Kef welcomed young people from Germany, France and a Burkinabe student in Tunisia with sister Valérie Kaboré (from Algiers) and sister Cécile Dilé (from Marsa) . The goal of this vacation time was to allow all these students from different cultures and religions to serve others together. This project is a result of the presence of the White Sisters at Kef, for nearly 40 years.

Marie Ange ENGAGEMENT

      Sr. Marie Ange Ndayishimiye made her perpetual profession on 15th April 2018 in Burundi, her native country, in Christ the King Cathedral, Gitega Archdiocese.  The Mass was presided by Bishop Blaise Nzeyimana, Bishop of Ruyigi Diocese. Sr. Marie Ange pronounced her vows in kirundi, the language used in Burundi. Sr. Victoire received them on behalf of the Superior General. Hundreds of people attended the well prepared celebration. Among them were the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa from neighbouring countries, the Missionaries of Africa, members of other congregations who participated and helped a lot in the celebration, the cathedral choir, altar servers, liturgical dancers (girls and boys), priests, family members and friends, as well as parishioners of Christ the King Parish since it was a Sunday.They all came to celebrate and witness Marie Ange’s commitment.
