The sisters in the Nouakchott Community, Mauritania, share with us the Blessing of the Medina 3 Complex (The apartments, the Paul VI center, the sisters’ house and the magnificent chapel)     Ps 127:1 “If the Lord does not build the house, the builders have toiled for nothing.” It is with great emotion and gratitude that we experienced the blessing mass of the Medina 3 complex and the installation of the tabernacle in our chapel. A project prepared and supported for many years by Bishop Martin Happe, bishop emeritus of our diocese. How many hours of insomnia are hidden behind this audacious project!   by Sr. Nisubire Priscille, Butare Community, Rwanda Our Lady of Africa Training Center, opened in April 2023, has as its objective to improve the living standard of youth and enhance their human and Christian values. The center aims to give skills to the youth especially those in difficult situations, to help them be self-reliant. The training took place in a rented building of the “Economat general” of Butare as we wait for our own center. Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa (MSOLA) collaborators assisted the community by giving some ideas about running this center, giving talks to the students and helping by giving and correcting exams. Though the time was short, the students learned many things in this field and in terms of human values. The program…

By Sr. Marie Sakina Kataluka, community in Tikondane, Malawi As you are all aware Tikondane care for Children on/off the streets is one of our MSOLA projects which we are proud of. It was started in 1998 as a response to a new development in Malawi of the growing number of children living and beginning to live in the streets. Tikondane aimed at protecting and empowering vulnerable, marginalized children who are living and exposed to street life as well as those living in a hostile social environment. We advocate for their cause in fostering a spirit of justice, healing and reconciliation; thus, promoting children’s development to their full potential as persons created in the image of God. This year Tikondane is celebrating 25 years of service to vulnerable and marginalized children. Tikondane staff and the board of governors has planned to celebrate the 25th anniversary throughout this year. Indeed,…

This important aspect of our charism makes us attentive to everything that affects women in general, and African women in particular. Thus, in 2022, thanks to the aid received for apostolic activities, our Congregation supported the Spanish association: “Karibu – Friends of African Peoples” which tries to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable immigrants and refugees from sub-Saharan Africa. The activity of this association is in the field of humanitarian aid and integration assistance. It also carries out actions in favor of the recognition of fundamental rights of immigrants and refugees. By supporting Karibu, we encourage social entrepreneurship led by women. We strengthen their various professions and their creativity by providing development spaces, events and markets where they can promote their products. We encourage the creation of projects and businesses, and support their ideas.   In 2022 through training for employment and promotion of entrepreneurship for sub-Saharan…
