From July 18 to 25, as part of the summer activities for young people and Christian students, our sister Franceline Hien had the joy of leading a training session called “SKIKNABA” with four priests in the diocese of Constantine and Hippo in Algeria. This year more than twenty Christian students took part in this formation activity. There were four workshops: one on knowledge of the Bible, one on the influence of social networks in student life, one on the introduction to the Arabic alphabet and a final workshop on sexuality and Christian life. We started in Skikda from Monday to Thursday morning, then continued to Annaba to finish on Monday morning. I liked the program of the session and the way the workshops were organized. Vocational discernment camp – from 22 to 29 August 2022 in Burkina Faso
The Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa invite young girls who wish to attend a vocational discernment camp on the theme: “Youth in search , what are you looking for?” This camp will take place from the evening of Monday 22 August to the morning of Monday 29 August 2022 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, around the cathedral next to the grotto, in the courtyard of the White Sisters. Arrival: from 3pm The participation fee is 2000F per person. Transport is at the expense of each participant. Please bring a Bible, a notebook and a pen, as well as personal necessities. ‘Come and see’ at the MSOLA house in Malawi
This article is an extract from MVA/MSOLA Network Letter n° 25 “Come and see” is a stage when a young woman who is interested in religious life comes to stay in our community. Just as Jesus did with his disciples when they asked Him “Master where do you stay,” He told them to “come and see” (John 1: 39). Here is a testimony shared by young Sphiwe Gervazio who stayed at our house in Lilongwe with three other girls, from 17th to 20th December 2021. Dear sisters! From 29th to 31th July 2022 in Lublin (Poland) Weekend for women aged 18 to 35 years, wishing to discern their vocation, to get to know our congregation better.For those willing there is a possibility to come earlier or extend the stay. Missionary animation in Málaga, Spain
Share the Mission: In Malaga I am part of the Diocesan Missionary Council. It is linked to O.P.M. (Pontifical Mission Societies) and promotes several missionary animation campaigns throughout the year. The most important is the one of October on World Mission Sunday. Last October, the day began with a major exhibition called “El Domund al Descubierto” [The World Discovered]. It showed the missionary activity of the Church on the five continents. There was also information and formation provided by the missionaries with conferences, round tables, and testimonies … I shared my religious missionary experience in DR Congo radio.
