The preparations for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Missionaries of Africa and the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa began in the various places where our communities are located and numerous activities are being organized to invite others to join us in the joy of celebration!

On Saturday September 8th the Missionaries of Africa in Namur, Belgium opened their doors to relatives and friends of the White Fathers and White Sisters from Wallonie and Brussels for a day of meeting and sharing.

Celebrating our 150th anniversary in Winooski
Here we are on the threshold of our jubilee year…and Winooski community already had the joy of opening the celebrations! Looking at the past with gratitude, living the present with passion and the future with hope: This was our journey of the past three years towards our 150th anniversary!
Statues of Joseph and Mary Unveiled in Worldhouse
The Worldhouse received a gift from the sisters – statues of Joseph and Mary on August 24th, 2018 when the MSOLA celebrated their jubilees of religious profession. Worldhouse is the former Molenweide Care Home in Boxtel in the Netherlands, where a community of Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa has already been living for many decades, first with other religious, later including laypeople.

What is Tikondane?
Tikondane is the project of Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa in Lilongwe, Malawi, that works with and for the children on/off the streets. We work with close to 700 children per year of which more than 400 are newcomers on the streets.
